(*) GENERAL
Pope Francis on Thursday invited Muslims and Catholics to push global leaders to confront the dangers of climate change and extremism, and spoke of the common roots of different religious beliefs as he visited Southeast Asia's largest mosque in Jakarta.
POLITICS
Italy approved on Wednesday a plan to put 28,000 concessions for lucrative beach bars and clubs up for bidding by June 2027, in a long delayed response to a European Union demand for Rome to open the sector to newcomers.

OECD releases August composite leading indicator data (1000 GMT).
COMPANIES
(*) The FTSE Italia Index Series Committee has not made any changes to the to the FTSE MIB Index, a statement said on Wednesday. Banco Desio DESI.MI was included in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap Index while Industrie De Nora DNR.MI was excluded from it, it added.
(*) STELLANTIS STLAM.MI
The car maker will resume production of the Jeep Wrangler and Grand Cherokee SUVs at two of its U.S. plants, a spokesperson said on Wednesday, adding the group confirmed the production adjustments at the Toledo North and Jefferson & Mack sites.
BANCO BPM BAMI.MI
Davide Leone held 2.223% of voting rights in the bank and a 3.251% stake through long positions as of Feb. 23, a regulatory filing showed on Wednesday.
INTESA SANPAOLO ISP.MI
The bank will enter the STOXX Europe 50 index .STOXX50 starting from Sept. 23, following an annual review of the European blue-chip index, global index provider STOXX said on Tuesday.
BPER EMII.MI, UNIPOL UNPI.MI
Companies will enter the FTSE EuroMid index .FTEM on Sept. 23.

The group's launcher Vega successfully sent into orbit in the early hours of Thursday the Sentinel-2C Earth Observation satellite, a dedicated mission for the European Commission Copernicus Program, it said in a statement adding that the satellite will be a support for agriculture, water quality monitoring, natural disaster management and methane emissions detection.

Owned brands already account for 50% of the eyewear group's portfolio - well ahead of what was planned in the company's strategy - giving it "a stability that had never been reached before", Chief Executive Angelo Trocchia told Messaggero's Molto Economia supplement in an interview published on Thursday. He added that the group would always have space for licenses, "which in the last 18 months have been renewed up to 2030 and beyond".

Dolce & Gabbana posted a wider operating loss of 13 million euros ($14.4 million) in the fiscal year through March after stepping up investments in its shop network and its beauty division which it brought in house, a filing showed on Wednesday
